iGuard 999 is operated by Michael Chambers ("we", "us"), the data controller responsible for your information. For any privacy question, or to have your data corrected or deleted, contact us at admin@iguard999.co.uk.
For each person protected by the app: their name, mobile number, and — only while a "Help Me" alert is active — their live GPS location. For each account holder: name, email and mobile number. For each emergency contact: name, email and mobile number. Where a parent or guardian registers a child, we also record that consent was given and the date and time it was given.
Solely to deliver safety alerts and to share location with the emergency contacts chosen by the account holder. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.
Accounts for anyone under 18 can only be created by a parent or guardian, who holds and controls the account. The minimum age to be protected by iGuard 999 is 10. A child does not log in — they only use the safety page. By registering a child, the parent or guardian confirms they have authority to consent on the child's behalf, and may withdraw that consent and remove the child's data at any time.
GPS location points from an alert are automatically deleted 30 days after the alert ends. Account, protected-person and contact details are kept until the account is deleted, after which they are removed.
You may access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent and close the account, at any time by emailing admin@iguard999.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Alert emails are sent through our email provider, and text messages (where enabled) through our SMS provider, solely to deliver your alerts. Live location is shown only to the emergency contacts the account holder has added. We do not share your information with anyone else.
