What it is

iGuard 999 is a simple personal safety tool. Each protected person has a page they keep on their phone with one big Help Me button. Pressing it alerts their chosen emergency contacts and shares the person's live location until they confirm they are safe with their PIN.

Who it's for

Anyone aged 10 or over. Adults can set it up for themselves; a parent or guardian can set it up for their children, with each person getting their own page and contacts. It's especially useful for:

  • Drivers who break down and aren't members of any breakdown or recovery service.
  • Anyone walking home alone at night or through an unfamiliar area.
  • Children or teens who feel they are being followed or are somewhere they don't feel safe.
  • Lone workers — carers, tradespeople, delivery drivers — working away from colleagues.
  • Older or vulnerable people who may become unwell or disoriented while out.

What it can and cannot do

It is at its best when the person is able to reach their phone and press a button. It is not a replacement for calling 999 in an emergency, and it cannot help in situations that happen too fast to reach a phone, such as a fall into water. Location sharing needs the page to be open and the phone to have signal and battery. Please think of it as a fast way to summon help and share your location — not as a guarantee of safety.

Who runs it

iGuard 999 is run by Michael Chambers. For questions, to give feedback, or to have your data removed, email admin@iguard999.co.uk. See our privacy notice for how your information is handled.

In a real emergency where someone is in danger, always call 999 first.
